A rough diamond passes through six benches at Paavan before it ships. Each has a person whose name we know, whose hands we trust, and whose signature appears on the stone card.

We buy from a shortlist of eight suppliers we have known for over a decade. Every parcel arrives with its Kimberley Process Certificate, and we cross-check the origin against the seller's own audit log before it enters the vault.
1 - Expert Selection
Expert Selection
The rough is studied under a Sarine scanner, then in the hand, under three light temperatures. The senior grader plans the yield — where the table falls, which inclusion gets cut around, how many stones one piece can become.
2 - Cutting & Polishing
Cutting & Polishing
The stone moves through four cutters, each of whom owns one stage — cleaving, bruting, blocking, and finally the brillianteer who cuts the small facets that make the stone dance. Each hand signs the card at handoff.
3 - Certification
Certification
Every stone above half a carat is sent out for independent grading. We do not price a stone until the report is in our hand — and when it arrives, we photograph it beside the report so you can trace both.
4 - Quality Inspection
Quality Inspection
A final QC pass — the cutter, the grader, and a senior director each look at the stone against its report. Nothing goes to a client that any one of the three has questions about.
5 - Delivery / Consultation
Delivery / Consultation
Whether the stone flies to Antwerp or is walked across the bourse, it travels insured and in-person. If you are within reach, we prefer to bring it to you and show you the light rig ourselves.
